Hi, all! It’s Mari from Arcadian Home blog, a great place to find beautiful and home decor inspirations. It’s so wonderful to be here visiting at Sam & Duke. I love Sandra’s “inspired by” posts, so I chose to make today’s guest post a contribution to that series.

I’ve pulled together eight of my favorite images that show how any room can go from pretty to artful with the addition of paintings, prints, photography or even wallpapers. Please enjoy!

Artful Room

This large painting in muted hues is wonderfully suited to hang above a long floating shelf of reclaimed wood. It’s a warm and inviting first impression for guests.

Artful Room

Stunning in black and white framed in gold, a tall painting leans casually against the wall in this pure white living room.

Artful Room

Unexpected in citrus hues, oversize equestrian wall art makes a bold statement in this modern bathósuch a gorgeous design element.

Artful Room

This chic living room gets a lively vibe from an Impressionist style giclee canvas print, botanical textiles and simple green branches.

Artful Room

A lovely mix of framed photographs is artfully displayed atop wall to wall shelves. Crisp white linens and gray bedding are charming with the artwork and natural touches.

Artful Room

This artful room is given a “window” to the outdoors with a large wintery wallpaper mural. Modern white furnitures are warmed up with furry rug and animal hides.

Artful Room

Low hung art works beautifully in this eclectic living space, creating the illusion that one might simply step into the painting’s chaotic world.

Artful Room

Sweden’s Mr. Perswall turns this vintage bedroom into an artful space with wallpaper in muted hues.

i made the big leap into sponsoring this month and started collaborating with other people and blogs that i truly love. the first one i sponsored was this great blog by a fellow graphic designer called jennyhighsmith.com. one of the perks of sponsoring other blogs is that sometimes they will do a feature on you, your blog and your shop. well jenny highsmith did a feature on sam and duke and i am so excited to share it with you!

jenny asked some great questions ~ see the entire interview here.
